The World Cup, Abandoned Babies ... Again

At last the World Cup is nearing its end ... I wonder what would Malaysians & the rest of the world would do after it's over.

For some, life would be back to normal - back to the sedantry lifestyle, I guess. Just like how our (national)football is - it has been in a sedantry state of affairs for ages!!! Prove? Just look at the adverts over TV. They have to do a "re run" - in BLACK & WHITE just to prove a point of how long it has been & how great we were during Allahyarham "Super Mokh", Soh Chin Aun, Santokh Singh, Dolah Sani & James Wong era... The problem is we tend to live in the past & being entrapped in the past great era. Stop being melancholic!!! FAM needs to look ahead & within - clear up your own backyard, please.

As for the World Cup, I have no comments except to note that why on earth Mick Jagger is being blamed for Brazil's defeat? One guy - at least - in Haiti jumped to his death when Brazil lost... The funniest thing that was Paris Hilton - who? - was arrested for allegedly in possession of Marijuana - a case of mistaken blond? What a joke!!!!

To my wife, Aishah, Kaka (the handsome player whom you adored so much) is back to Brazil unlike Felipe Melo who was advised to take leave and not to go back to Brazil for security reason.... For the ladies out there, with Kaka out of sight, please turn your view to the German's coach - he's quite a looker unlike the average Germans who normally look a bit "garang" ....

Last week in the midst of the World Cup, the 1st Baby Boy was dropped off in the nation's 1st Baby Hatch. By looking at his picture in NST the other day I couldn't but agree with the caption which said his face is so "angelic" ... I can't really say whether I am happy or sad with the report - happy because the baby was safe and sound & the objective of setting up the baby hatch - to safe abandoned babies from fatality - but sad because with that very first drop off, it just confirmed the fact that we have gone so low & decay in our humanity ... The irony of it all that very same day, 3 cases of abandoned babies were reported all over the country ...

It's definitely a sad day/week for us Malaysians, the Brazilians, Argentines & of course to the ladies out there ... bye bye Kaka .....

Till we meet again ....
