It seems that Fish Wong was still in business ... I heard it over the radio the other day ... But still he ended up selling old newspaper. Reason? The Pizza Company somehow or rather still being "insensitive" in their advertisement etiquette ... welcome to the "free market" and capitalist world ... I am really waiting in eager how low the advertisement could go ... in mocking the "small fry" like Fishy Wong and the like ...
Talking about advertisement ... I really missed Yasmin Ahmad's adverts - our Merdeka Day & Hari Raya et al adverts would not be the same again without Yasmin around. Watching Yasmin Ahmad's advert would make you feel happy, sad, melancholic and nostalgic - all at the same time... Shame on you Pizza Company!!!
Let's move on to another topic ... For the past few weeks, anybody who did not talk/touch on football (read the World Cup) would be "accused" not being in trend - directly or indirectly. So, make sure that for this 1 whole month or so, you talk about football or at least touch on the vuvuzela & its controversy ... better still talk about Kaka (Note: Aishah, my wife said he's so cute!!! Lucky her for I do not play football otherwise Kaka's legs - better still the face - would be my "victim"!!!).
There's nothing wrong being in trend ... Just like barely a month ago it was in trend if we talk/touch about Palestine, Michelle Corrie or it's even better if you participated in the demonstrations worldwide against the Israel regime ... But now? There were demonstration at least in 2 states in Africa due to power outage during the World Cup and by university students in Dhaka re: their demand for day off from lectures during World Cup matches ...
At least we still demonstrating ... this time not against the Israel regime!!! All because of want to be in trend? I have no answer to this ... Let's wait until the World Cup is over then what? ....
